I am honored to have been appointed as one of the first Ambassadors of the European Centre for Space Economy and Commerce (ECSECO) representing Hungary and the Central and Eastern European region.
ECSECO (website https://ecseco.org/) has officially launched its Ambassador Program as a strategic initiative to strengthen its visibility, engagement, and long-term impact across ESA Member States. The first appointed Ambassadors will serve as Regional Representatives and trusted local points of contact, helping to connect ECSECO with national and regional stakeholders across academia, industry, institutions, public authorities, and the wider space economy community.
Founded in 2022 by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher, ECSECO has grown into an interdisciplinary European community focused on space economy and commerce. Its members come from diverse backgrounds including the private sector, public institutions, international organizations, academia, engineering, science, economics, law, and investment. The ECSECO Secretariat is hosted by the European Space Policy Institute in Vienna.
For me, this appointment is closely aligned with my ongoing work in space ecosystem building, space economy strategy, cross-sector collaboration, venture capital, startup acceleration, and stakeholder engagement, with a particular focus on the Central and Eastern European region. As Rector’s Envoy for Space Affairs at Obuda University, Vice President of the Hungarian Association for Innovation, Co-Chair of the Infotér Space & Defense Council, and founding partner of BTS Space, I have been working to connect regional capabilities with European and global space economy opportunities.
As ECSECO Ambassador, my purpose is to strengthen ECSECO’s presence, relevance, and operational engagement in Central and Eastern Europe, while supporting its evolution into a recognized European think tank in space economy and innovation.
I will focus on expanding regional visibility, supporting membership growth, representing ECSECO at high-impact events and strategic dialogues, fostering partnerships across academia, industry, investors and public institutions, and bringing structured CEE insights into the broader European space economy conversation.
My broader mission is to connect, activate, and scale Central and Eastern Europe’s space ecosystems into a cohesive, sustainable, and globally competitive pillar of the European space economy — empowering talent, entrepreneurship, and innovation to shape Europe’s future in space.
I look forward to contributing to ECSECO’s mission and to building stronger bridges between Hungary, the CEE region, and the European space economy community.
