🚀 The Space Sector of Mongolia is awakening – and it’s nothing short of inspiring.
In just a few years, Mongolia has taken bold steps in space exploration, driven largely by private initiatives such as:
🔸 Apogee Space Program – aiming to reach the Kármán-line with a Mongolian-built rocket
🔸 Mars-V – building a full-scale Mars analog facility in the Gobi Desert
🔸 OwlSat-1 & OwlSat-2 – Mongolia’s first CubeSats, developed by startup ONDO Space
Adding to this momentum, the Mongolian government is preparing its second human spaceflight mission, 45 years after the historic journey of Jügderdemidiin Gürragchaa.
To nurture the next generation of space scientists, engineers, and visionaries, the DuDu Foundation launched two flagship initiatives:
🌍 International Space Camp – welcoming 650+ students from around the world
🌌 Kármán Line Summit – a high-level forum for global and national space stakeholders
I had the honour to represent Hungary alongside my 11-year-old daughter, sharing insights on:
✅ The global new space economy
✅ The Hungarian human spaceflight program HUNOR (Hungarian to Orbit), culminating in astronaut Tibor Kapu’s successful ISS mission
✅ Recommendations for Mongolia to build a sustainable, innovation-driven space ecosystem
It was a privilege to speak before Mongolia’s first astronaut Jügderdemidiin Gürragchaa, the Chairman of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences Demberel Sodnomsambuu, and key figures from government, academia, and industry.
🙏 Heartfelt thanks to Dashzeveg Munkhtulga for the kind invitation and to Gantigmaa Gantulga for flawlessly executing both programs.
✨ Ad Astra!
