Announcing the Hungarian Innovation Grand Prize

In recognition of Hungarian innovation achievements

I’m honored to have been part of the jury of the Hungarian Innovation Grand Prize for five years, witnessing firsthand how Hungarian innovators continue to turn bold ideas into impactful solutions — strengthening not only our economy but our place in the global innovation landscape.

Today marked the official announcement of the 34th Hungarian Innovation Grand Prize, held at the Millennium House in Budapest and organized by the Hungarian Association for Innovation (Magyar Innovációs Szövetség). The event gathered the leading voices of Hungary’s innovation ecosystem – from business and academia to research and policy – to launch this year’s call for entries.
The inspiring panel discussion “This Is How You Innovate!” moderated by prof. Zoltán Birkner co-chair, featured last year’s awardees Gyula Horváth from C3S Electronics Development LLC, András Boráros-Bakucz from Ericsson), Ádám István Hegyi, PhD from Bay Zoltán Kutatóközpont, and Máté Gábor Lénárt from FraudShield Security, who shared their experiences on the challenges and success factors of innovation.
The Hungarian Innovation Grand Prize recognizes companies, researchers, and creators whose achievements drive the renewal and global competitiveness of the Hungarian economy.

Nomination deadline is 30 November 2025. Application deadline is 9 February 2026.
